A little history….
When Napoleon and Josephine came to England, Josephine had a lady in waiting. This woman stayed in England, married, and had 19 children. The last child was a male and this man was my great, great, great, great….(not sure how many) great-grandfather.
My father, Alfred James, came to America with his brother, Arthur and their mother, Alice Ann, to reunite with their father, Richard.
They settled in America, made a life for themselves, but Alice always kept her English roots and this is why I am such a big fan of TEA. Every summer, when I spent a week with my Grandma and Grandpa Foster, my Grandma would always put aside time for our afternoon tea. She loved her English Breakfasts and Earl Greys. Alice always brought out the “good” shortbread and all was well with the world!
As a child, whenever my family vacationed or even ventured out for the day, I remember my parents, Alfred and Margaret were always relieved to come home to a “proper cup of tea”. Didn’t quite get that at the time, but I get it now.
Although my Grandparents and my Parents knew a good cuppa tea when they drank it, the selection was limited. Today, you can find many teas to choose from.
With over 100 teas available at Fosters Tea, stop in and let us help you find your “proper cuppa”.
